How To Delete Instagram Account

Instagram is an amazing platform to use, If you don’t want to use it and want to delete your Instagram then you have to follow some steps. Keep in mind that if you once delete your account, then this action can’t be undone. And all your photos and account history, including your followers, your likes, and the comments, will also be permanently removed from your account and you would not be able to sign up again using the same username if you ever create another account. Step 1: Login To Instagram

First, Log in to your account on instagram.com on a computer or mobile browser where you want. Unfortunately, you can’t delete your Instagram account from the Instagram app. So, it’s better to open your Instagram account in the browser.

Step 2: Go To Delete Instagram Page

Step 3: Choose Reason To Delete Account

On this delete your account page you need to choose an option for your reason to delete your Instagram account. You have to choose an answer from the drop-down menu next to "Why are you deleting your account?" There is a scroll list click on that, open the list, and choose your reason as shown in the below image.

Step 4: Authenticate Yourself

Now you have to Re-enter your password to authenticate that it’s you, who wants to delete your Instagram account.

Step 5: Delete Your Instagram Account

So now, Tap on the "Delete #YourUsername" button to permanently delete your Instagram account but remember always once you perform this action then you won’t be able to use your account again or not able to find any kind of data related to your Instagram account.

This allows users to disable their account for a period of time and then you can return to it later, It means that your profile, photos, videos, comments, and likes will be hidden from other users while your account is deactivated and it will all reappear when you choose to reactivate your account.

How to deactivate an Instagram account

Step 1: Instagram Login

First of all, login to Instagram using your credentials. This temporary delete account feature is not available in the mobile app so you need to log in to the account using a browser so that you can perform an action.

Step 2: Go To Instagram Profile

Now, tap on the person icon in the upper right- corner to access your profile. As shown below image.

Step 3: Go To Edit Profile Section

Click on "Edit Profile" option, just next to your Instagram username.

Step: 4 Click On "Temporarily Disable My Account"

Now you have to scroll down to the bottom of the page and just tap on "Temporarily Disable my account" in the bottom left- corner, highlighted in blue color.

Step 5: Choose An Option To Deactivate Your Instagram Account

When you are on this page as shown the below image, choose an answer from the drop-down menu, next to "Why are you disabling your account?" and Re-enter your password.

Step 6: Delete Your Account

Hereafter when you have entered your password, a "Temporarily Disable Account" button will appear you have to click on it to deactivate your Instagram account temporarily.
