• Dhanush and Shruti Haasan got carried away while they were for the film 3 in the year 2011 and started their affair but his (Dhanush) wife slammed this rumors.
• Once in 2016, an old couple from Thiruppuvanam, Tamil Nadu filed a complaint that claimed that Dhanush was their son. The name of the couple was Kathiresan and Meenaal. They gave a statement that Dhanush got poor marks in his exam in the year 2002 and he was disappointed due to the poor result and left his home. He came to Chennai to become an actor and he never returned back to his house.
• The old couple filed a complaint against this in the local police station and also in the Chief Minister's special cell for asking help to get their son back and also they asked for maintenance money from Dhanush of 65000/month INR. Later found that the old couple was a fraud and their claim was a false case.
